If you drive, your car needs fuel. And there are petrol stations in Cameron Highlands. They can be found in Ringlet and Brinchang town. But not in Tanah Rata, Tringkap, Kampung Raja and Kuala Terla.
Only two brands are available, Shell and Petronas. So if you are picky or want to load up on points on other petrol companies’ card loyalty program, just too bad.
Basically the price of petrol in Cameron Highlands is same like in the lowlands, so there is no need to pump up before heading to the hills.
If you need to load up on petrol before traveling up to Cameron Highlands, you can pump up at the Tapah R and R if you coming from the south or the Simpang Pulai R and R if you are coming from the north.
Or you could try looking for a petrol station in Tapah and Simpang Pulai town itself before making your way to Cameron Highlands.
