There are basically two modes of transportation in Cameron Highlands.
The local public bus in Cameron Highlands is handled by The Regal Transport Co. Sdn Bhd. The bus service from:
Tapah - Ringlet - Habu - BT 33 - Bharat Tea Plantation
- Tanah Rata - Brinchang - Kea Farm - Sg. Palas Junction
- Tringkap - Kuala Terla - Kg. Raja.
Their office also indicates bus service to:
Simpang Pulai - Kampar - Gopeng - and all the way to Ipoh too.
From what I understand it is an hourly service, but don't bank on it to run on schedule.

The Persatuan Teksi Cameron Highlands provides the taxi service for those who want to get around Cameron Highlands quickly. They have a per trip way cost which you have to ask them on the rate.
The current taxi hourly rate is RM25 (as of 2010)
